When I woke at 5am, I could sense the effect of the purple puffer was wearing-off. My chest was tight on the fringes and I knew if I didnt go for an exercise on my bicycle, the day would bring me breathing challenges. So I did just that, I rode my 5 kilometres from Liberty Parade to Plenty Road along the Darebin bike track. My breathing technique today was a two second inhale, thirteen second exhale with a five second breath-hold, before doing again. I stayed in sixth gear on the straight paths and 5 gear on steep/high hills. Sadly, I did take a puff of the blue inhaler when I arrived home, for I knew the breakfast rituals of fast moving, fast talking to the kids, having to have a spare ear to listen to the concerns of my wife and the getting dressed process with endure pressure on my chest. I just did not want to go through all that with limited breathing capacity.
I did learn something unique on the podcast whilst cycling BTW, boys (masculine energy) at twenty years old has a need to be a warrior and a lover simultaneously. Warrior to be goal focused and be rewarded with acheivement along the way & ready for their first love, to mean, vulnerable to accept love, be love and give love. Hmmm… so that is why I had those challenges. The podcast ended with emphasising how important the fathers role is in this transition.
